The Year of The Rooster

This Chinese New Year – The Year of the Rooster, begins on Saturday January 28th and lasts until February 2018.

Each Chinese New Year is characterised by one of 12 animals which appear in the Chinese zodiac.

This year it’s the Year of the Rooster, the tenth animal in the cycle. The next Year of the Rooster will be in 2029.

In celebration of this striking feathered bird, Molo and Dolce & Gabbana have some Rooster themed items to wear in line of the Chinese new year. The spring/summer 2017 collection from Molo follows on from their photo real animal prints to incorporate the celebrated Rooster of 2017 with feather printed dresses and tops for girls, placement print birds for boys plus playful and colourful embroideries on jersey separates. For the mini-est of minis there is an all-in-one with underarm wing detail with additional embroidered features.. so you can have your minis in a full rooster dress up!

Dolce & Gabbana are also celebrating the feathered 10th animal with a small capsule collection for boys, baby and men with a special edition ‘year of the rooster’ collection. Spring items include tees, shirts, jackets and bottoms plus accessories including hats and rucksacks. As well as the placement bird prints there are printed and appliqué versions of a cartoon stylized rooster doing a ‘cha cha cha’ surrounded by embroideries and chenille appliqué letters and numbers.  The rooster chick emerges alongside the rooster and is featured on bodysuits for baby gifting.
